Industrial waste are an environmental problem and its management should be conducted in a proper manner, is the treatment, final disposal or recycling. The solid waste generated in industries should be segregated in accordance with the NBR-10,004 of ABNT and treated and/or intended properly according to its characteristics.
The St. Lawrence Environmental specializes in integrated management of Industrial Waste, follow the steps described below:
1° development of PGRS: The company must have Waste management plan-updated and follow the PGRS guidelines.
2º Drafting emergency card and envelope: According to the Decree 88.821/83 and Resolution 420 the ANTT, the emergency certificate is a document of responsibility of shipper. The standard that specifies all the requirements of this plug is ABNT NBR 7503.
3Environmental licensing and ticketing necesaria DTRP: According to the State Decree No. 14.024 Of 06 June 2012, the transport of hazardous waste Declaration-DTRP should be issued by the hazardous waste generator, in the case of intercity transportation, and the estimated annual amount of waste transported.
4º Segregation of waste at the point of generation: Industrial solid waste must be segregated according to the type, According to law No. 12.305, Of 2 AUGUST 2010 and the NBR 10.004 ABNT.
5º storage of waste: Solid waste shall be stored temporarily for further treatment and/or final destination according to the type. For storage of hazardous waste, one must consider the ANBT NBR 12.235/92 – Storage of hazardous solid waste.
6º handling Records of waste: All records concerning the type and quantity of waste produced and given to the same routing must be kept up to date.
7º Waste collection: The transport of waste is carried out in appropriate vehicles for each type of waste and packaging. The drivers are trained with the MOPP Course – Operating Drive of dangerous products. The drivers and collectors are trained for emergency care.
8º waste treatment and/or Disposal: The treatment consists of applying method, technique or process that modifies the characteristics of the risks inherent to the waste, reducing or eliminating the risk of damage to the environment.
